ABOUT DESIGNER

Sebastian Herkner

Sebastian Herkner는 1981년 Bad Mergentheim에서 태어나 HfG 오펜바흐 암 마인(Offenbach am Main, 오펜바흐 예술 및 디자인 대학)에서 제품 디자인을 공부했는데, 재료의 다면적인 아름다움을 강조하기 위한 새로운 기술과 전통적인 장인정신을 결합하면서 다양한 문화적 맥락을 융합한 물건과 가구를 디자인하는 데 집중했습니다. 학생시절 허크너는 런던에서 스텔라 매카트니와 함께 인턴십을 했는데, 이 때의 경험은 재료, 색상, 구조, 질감에 대한 그의 감상을 연마하는 데 도움이 되었다.

자신의 디자인 스튜디오를 설립한 이후, 그는 ClassiCon, Dedon, Fontana Arte, La Chance, Moroso, Pulpo, Rosenthal 그리고 Very Wood와 같은 제조업체들을 위한 제품을 디자인했고, 인테리어 프로젝트와 전시회 및 박물관을 위한 작업을 이어왔습니다.
